Enjoy outdoor activities or relax in one of the most scenic and undiscovered parts of Ireland. | | Directions | From Dublin Follow directions for North/Belfast. A new motorway from Dublin to Newry opened October 2007 reducing journey time to approximately 1 hour. From Newry take the A2 to Warrenpoint, through Rostrevor and follow road for Kilkeel. After approx. 6 miles heading towards Kilkeel, there is a signpost for a left turn to Atticall. (The signpost is on the right hand side of the road pointing to a left turn, signpost also has B&B and community centre on it). Follow road for 3 miles into Atticall village, go past church shop and school on the left and the centre is also on the left immediately after the school.
From Belfast Follow directions for Newcastle. From Newcastle continue along coast, taking the A2 to Kilkeel. In Kilkeel continue into centre of town, on the hill just before the traffic lights there is a small road on the right signposted for Atticall (Mountain Road). Follow this road for approx. 3 miles until you come to a left turn signposted Atticall, follow road down towards village and we on the right entering the village. If coming through the Spelga Pass from Hilltown or Castlewellan follow the road towards Kilkeel, pass Cnocnafeola Wood on the right and continue until right turn signposted Atticall. Take road down towards village and centre is on the right entering the village. | | Transportation | There is a local bus service from Kilkeel four times per day. Times are on our website. Taxis cost approx £5 from Kilkeel. Good rural transport during the summer from Newcastle. Pick ups can be arranged when necessary | | Airport | Belfast approx 1 hr 30mins Dublin 1 hr 45mins |
